Mother's Day Out

 
Mt. Carmel offers an exceptional Mother's Day Out (MDO) program for children aged 6 months through 5 years!  Our MDO classes are designed to provide a safe and fun learning environment to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.  To enroll, please read the full MDO Policies below and MDO Director at 654-3043.

When:

     Wednesday & Fridays during the Robertson County School year
     8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Where:

     Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Drive-thru entrance at the rear of the church facility.

Tuition:

     $12.00/day for 1 child*
     $11.00/day per child for 2 children* 
     $10.00/day per child for 3+ children*
 
          *Note:  There is a $25.00 registration and material fee due upon enrollment.
 
 
 

Policies & Procedures 

 

Tardiness:

Mother's Day out does not begin until 8:30 a.m.  The doors will remain locked until this time each Wednesday and Friday morning so that teachers may prepare their classrooms.  Please arrive on time to avoid classrooom disruption and so that your child does not miss class activities.  Please be on time to pick up your child.  If you are going to be late, call 654.3043.  A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be enforced after 2:05 p.m.
 
Note:  After drop-off, it is best not to stay with your child for a long period of time.  Doing so makes it much harder on your child and you.  We will call you if your child becomes upset and cannot be consoled.  Please don't worry; they are in safe hands.
 
Attendance:
 
Each child is given 2 free days throughout the year.  After that, you must pay whether or not your child attends.  If a child is to withdraw for any reason, a 2 week notice must be given.  If the child is absent more than two consecutive days with no notice to the MDO Director, the space may be filled.
 
Lunch:
 
All children must bring their own lunch and drink.  Please do not pack glass containers or carbonated beverages.  If there is more than one child enrolled within the same family, each child's lunch must be packed in separate containers.  Please do not bring anything that needs to be heated or that your child cannot feed himself/herself (excluding babies).
 
Naptime:
 
Each classroom has schedule naptimes during the day.  Each child must have a mat and blanket for naptime. 
 
Toys/Belongings:
 
Please do not bring toys from home.  Label everything (mat, backpack, jackets, etc.) that belongs to your child.
 
Illness:
 
If a child requires a prescribed medicine during the day, we must have a doctor's note stating that your child is able to remain in a group situation while taking the medicine.  In the event of a contagious illness, the parent should notify MDO at 654.3043.  The child may not return until the danger of contagion has passed.  If your child develops a fever during MDO, you will be notified and your child must be picked up.  Your child may not return until he/she has been free of fever for 24 hours.  
 
Snow Closings:
 
We will follow Robertson County school closings and one hour delay schedule.  If Robertson County is two hours late, we will be closed that day.

     $12.00/day for 1 child*

Payment:
 
You may chose to pay daily, weekly, or monthly.  However, you must make payments in advance.  If paying by cash, please put this in a sealed envelope with your child's name on the front of the envelope.
 
Liability:
 
Liability for acts of the child while he/she is under care of this facility is the parents' responsibility.  Excessive behavior problems will be reported to the parents and, if unresolved, MDO reserves the right to ask that the child be removed from the program.
